Orange County Programs Have a Great Time at OC NAMIWalks 2022

Telecare's Orange County programs continued their commitment to participate in this year’s NAMIWalks, even through strong winds. All five outpatient programs (STEPS, WIT, Home First, Orange County AOT, TAO North, TAO Central, and TAO South) were in attendance with members, families, friends, and staff. There were plenty of booths to visit, swag to collect, food trucks, and other activities to foster a sense of community and support for mental health issues. It was a great day!

Orange County NAMIWalks 2022, held last Saturday at Angel Stadium, was a highly successful event with an impressive 2500 participants and more than $171,548 raised. It started with an introduction from Dr. Clayton Chau of Mind Orange County and a touching keynote speech by Dr. Courtney Tracy, also known as "The Truth Doctor." Corinne Foxx, actor, producer, and writer, was the grand marshall, while Veronica Kelley, Chief of Mental Health and Recovery Services in Orange County Health Care Agency, spoke. The event hosted cover band Flashback Heart Attack to bring back hits from the '80s and '90s.

Telecare Orange County was honored to be a bronze sponsor at this event. Representing our organization in the Telecare booth were David Calloway (STEPS), Shea Sorrentino (STEPS), Jude Martinez (TAO Central), and Lei Portugal Calloway (AOT).

Telecare is incredibly grateful for the tremendous support and enthusiasm our Orange County programs have shown. We're proud of their hard work and dedication!
