Shout-Out to San Diego Programs During COVID-19

In March, San Diego community programs were approached by the county to provide crisis intervention and mental health counseling to adults who tested positive for COVID-19 or were showing symptoms of the virus.

These individuals fell into a category in which they didn’t need hospitalization, but either did not have a home or could not go home.

Staff from several programs—Gateway and Pathways to Recovery, San Diego Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), San Diego Behavioral Health Court (BHC), and IHOT—rose to the occasion and volunteered to provide these needed services to the struggling individuals. We are so proud of those that have stepped up to help the community at this very difficult time. They are true heroes.
